1974 Airstream Overlander 27′

Client: Australian Adventure Couple
Vessel: 1974 Airstream Overlander 27′
Location: Australia
Purpose: We have a 1974 Airstream Overlander for an Aussie client with intentions of taking this Airstream back to Australia. We added a full kitchen, converted the voltage from 110v to 240v, and made a new door on the opposite side of the trailer to comply with Australian highway laws.

Our client made it clear that ample storage throughout this transformed Airstream was a top priority. We added hideaway drawers inside the kitchen, dining, bathroom, and sleeping areas making it easy to store gear on the go.

The kitchen features a 3-burner stainless stove top, an under-mount satin finish stainless steel sink, with modern-styled single handle polished blue kitchen faucet. Two refrigerator/freezer boxes are ready to receive Australian-compliant appliances.

A handmade dining room table was constructed of fossilized bamboo with adjustable table leg. The no-slip spa-style shower floor drains into slotted teak mats that allow water to disappear into a hidden grey water tank. The shower walls are coated with beautiful white mosaic ceramic tile.

Why so few photos? Innovative Spaces was founded in 2015 when our owner Nate Stover, who was then the head builder for Hofmann Architecture, took over the facility, tools and construction team from Hofmann to continue to grow the business. As such, we don't have as many photos as we'd like of this Airstream, but the timelessness of this project lives on and is a great example of what you might expect from us.
