1963 Airstream Caravel 17′

Client: Retired photographer
Vessel: 1956 Airstream Caravel 17′
Location: West Coast & Beyond
Purpose: Travel and photography basecamp

Design Highlights: We were approached by a retired wildlife photographer to design and build him a traveling basecamp for photography. The key to the project was making a small and nimble space like the Caravel 17′ feel like a comfortable spacious living space. We focused on multi-use spaces, being innovative, if you will, with making sure everything focused on comfort, ease of use, and clean. The result is one of our favorite small Airstreams. We get lots of requests from potential clients to build another like it for them. That was a fun project!
