SPARTANETTE

1947 Spartan Spartanette

Spartan Aircraft Company was originally formed in 1928 and produced aircraft parts and their own aircrafts, and after WWII with J. Paul Getty as one of the owners, they began trailer and coach building in the early 40’s up to the 60’s and made over 40,000units. They were considered the”Cadillac” of travel trailers in that era. This Spartan Spartanette 24 is a 1947 Model that originally started with a floor plan that offered a spacious living room, bathroom, kitchenette and dining/lounge area and featured an aluminum monocoque body design seen on their airplanes, and birch wall and ceiling paneling and linoleum flooring. This Spartanette was the mid-level offering model, compared to their 30′ and 33′ Mansion models.
