Innovative Spaces offers full custom Airstream renovation services from our Ventura, California workshop. We perform shell-off renovations on Airstream Bambi, Caravel, Flying Cloud, International, Classic, Globetrotter, and Argosy models, as well as other quality vintage and modern trailer brands. Most renovations are full custom builds rather than refresh-only work.
A shell-off renovation strips the trailer to its frame, allowing complete inspection and repair of the chassis, replacement of insulation and subfloor, installation of new electrical and plumbing systems, and full reconstruction of the interior to your specification. This approach is more thorough than panel-on or cosmetic refreshes and produces a trailer that performs like new for decades.
Common upgrades include raised ceilings or interior lift kits for tall owners, multiple skylights for natural light, lithium battery banks with solar charging, dual-zone heat pumps, induction cooking, on-demand water heaters, composting or cassette toilets, MaxxAir ventilation, dedicated workstations for remote work, and Starlink integration. Interior finishes typically use real walnut, white oak, or other hardwoods with custom cabinetry built in our shop.
We renovate trailers we source on your behalf or trailers you already own. We can also help evaluate trailers you are considering buying. Project budgets typically run from the high five figures for limited scopes through mid six figures for full custom shell-off rebuilds, depending on trailer size, condition, and finish level.
