Every Innovative Spaces project follows a five-phase process: discovery, design, engineering, build, and delivery. The process is the same whether you are renovating a vintage Airstream for full-time travel, building a mobile cocktail bar for a national brand activation, or planning a backyard guesthouse to serve as an ADU alternative.
Discovery begins with a conversation, usually one to two hours, where we learn how you intend to use the space, where you intend to use it, your budget range, your timeline, and the aesthetic and functional priorities that matter most to you. We come out of discovery with a written scope and a fee proposal for the design phase.
Design produces renderings, floor plans, materials and finish specifications, and a full bill of materials. You see the space in 3D before any cuts are made, and revisions in this phase are normal and expected. Engineering follows, where our team specifies electrical loads, plumbing routing, HVAC sizing, structural reinforcement, and weight distribution for road use.
Build happens in our Ventura workshop. Most Airstream renovations and trailer builds run twelve to twenty-four weeks shell-off, depending on complexity. We send weekly photo updates and host site visits by appointment. Delivery includes a full walkthrough of every system, an owner manual specific to your build, and a warranty period.
We work on a milestone payment schedule, not hourly billing, so the cost is predictable from the day we sign. Contact us to start a discovery conversation.
